Flu, dengue prevalent

Following last week’s report on the rise in flu cases, the last seven days have seen up to 7,000 people report influenza and ‘viral’ fever symptoms and over two-thirds of those tested for flu were confirmed to have type A. The Health Protection agency stated that daily family gatherings for Ramadan ‘could contribute to the spread of diseases’.
