Niger: Cholera persists in southern border areas

More cholera cases have been recorded in the central south, bordering areas of Nigeria which are also experiencing outbreaks. The regional WHO update notes that ‘The ongoing rainy season and the increase in cholera cases in Katsina State in Nigeria provide the potential for further spread of the disease both within Niger and across the border with Nigeria’.
