The Nov 17 WHO African region update added a further 150,000 malaria cases in the week to Oct 27, taking the Burundi outbreak total to almost 7.4 million cases. In Angola, there have been fewer malaria deaths this year compared to 2018, however cases have doubled over the same 9-month period, averaging 700 new infections ever hour.
