Information published in South Africa on January 8th confirms more than 4,700 cases of measles currently.                                                                                          Gauteng is hardest hit but KwaZulu-Natal, the North West and Eastern Provinces also report significant numbers. One person, a 50 year old man, has died in recent days from the infection.
